About The Speaker
Sakara Sunee is a maestra and founder of Spirit’s Journey Sanctuary, an entheogenic church in Arkansas dedicated to healing, spiritual growth, and responsible sacramental practice. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and completed immersive training with the Shipibo tradition through the Ayahuasca Foundation in the Peruvian Amazon.
After overcoming years of complex PTSD, severe depression, and suicidal ideation through a transformative healing journey, Sakara felt called to help others discover their own capacity to heal. She serves on the Board of Directors of Natural State Mental Health, where she advocates for thoughtful psychedelic education and policy in Arkansas.
At the PSOTO Conference, Sakara presents “From Surviving to Serving” — how our deepest struggles can become our greatest purpose, and how ayahuasca and psychedelics saved her life.
