Melissa Benintendi is a professor, therapist, and consultant specializing in Somatic Psychology, EMDR Therapy, and EcoPsychological approaches to healing. She partners with Beyond Healing Institute to offer EMDR Therapy training and continuing education for therapists and mental health professionals.
She is a Doctoral Candidate at the California Institute of Integral Studies, where her research focuses on how body-to-body encounters create deep and lasting change. She is the creator of Somatic Integration and Processing and of SomatoSymbolic Processing, a somatic therapeutic modality designed to blend with psychedelic medicines.
At the PSOTO Conference, Melissa presents on partnering with the embodied wisdom of the subconscious in psychedelic therapy — and on dialoguing with symbolism as the language of the subconscious.
