About The Speaker
Cole Carter holds a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience and is nearly ten years clean from heroin — a recovery that began with an ibogaine experience in Mexico. He has lived for two years in the Colombian Amazon with a Cofán tribal community, studying yagé and Cofán cultural practices, and has sat in an iboga ceremony with a (N)Ganga from Gabon, Africa.
He previously worked as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor at Bert Nash in Lawrence, Kansas, and presented on ibogaine and opioid use disorder at the Kansas Consciousness Convention in 2026.
At the PSOTO Conference, Cole speaks on ibogaine and opioid use disorder, and on indigenous practices and therapeutic integration in the United States — bridging lived experience, neuroscience, and traditional medicine.
