May Events Committee Update

Hello PSOTO Community,

Planning is moving forward for the 2026 Psychedelic Freedom Conference, and we wanted to share an update from the Events Committee.

We are excited to announce that the conference is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, at University Plaza in Springfield, Missouri. This venue offers a professional conference setting with space for keynote presentations, breakout sessions, vendors, lodging, and additional opportunities to build a strong community experience.

The Events Committee has also begun developing the structure for:

• Sponsorship opportunities, including several levels for businesses and community partners
• Vendor booths and nonprofit participation
• Ticket pricing, including early bird, student, veteran, regular, and possible VIP options
• Conference marketing, sponsor outreach, vendor outreach, and promotional materials
• Speaker coordination, attendee experience, and day-of logistics

Several committee members have already taken leadership roles in moving this work forward. Christy is helping coordinate sponsorship outreach and tracking, Jen is leading vendor planning, Marisa is supporting speaker coordination, and Zach and Shawn are developing the sponsor and vendor promotional materials.

As planning continues, the committee will be addressing important operational needs, including budgeting, volunteer coordination, accessibility, harm reduction support, security, recording and technology needs, speaker hospitality, and the overall attendee experience.

There is a great deal of work ahead, but the foundation is being laid for a thoughtful, professional, and meaningful conference that reflects the mission of PSOTO and the growing psychedelic community in the Ozarks.

We will continue sharing updates as sponsorships, vendors, speakers, tickets, and volunteer opportunities become available.
