Springfield, Missouri — As the Psychedelic Society of the Ozarks (PSOTO) prepares for its 2026 Psychedelic Freedom Conference — “Knowledge for the Front Lines” — on October 3 at the University Plaza Hotel & Convention Center, registrations are arriving from beyond the Ozarks, a sign of growing regional interest in the science and responsible use of psychedelic medicine.

“I believe the science behind it is an important piece of the puzzle that few people consider, and I am so interested in learning more about it,” shared Kassidy H., a B.A. Psychology student traveling from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. “I am so excited to be attending!”

The one-day conference brings together 24 speakers and panelists across the Grand Ballroom and two breakout rooms, headlined by keynote speaker Lt. Sarko Gergerian, who will present “Awakening the Warrior to the Guardian: Psychedelics, Trauma, and the Future of Public Safety.” The full day spans public safety, clinical research, mental health, legal and religious-use considerations, and practitioner training, with an exclusive lunchtime comedy performance from award-winning comedian Shane Mauss.
